Helloooooo Theatre Free Agents,
First and foremost, welcome back to K-State, welcome back to the Theatre Department, and welcome to Draft Week 2K15: our coaches are pumped to fill their rosters!
Who will be drafted? Who will be cheerleaders? Who will join the coaching staff? All of these questions and MORE will be announced in just five short days. But for now, here’s the rundown:
Day 1: Monday, August 24th, A Christmas Carol and a Pizza Carol
Meet & Greet and FREE pizza in Nichols Lobby during Theatre Forum (12:30). Later that evening, Hall of Fame Coach Jerry Jay Cranford’s auditions will kick off at 6 p.m. in Nichols Lobby. Please click here for details, and requirements.
Day 2: Tuesday, August 25th, Cattle Call
Our entire All Star Lineup will be in attendance, and they’re ready to see what you’ve got. We’ve got auditions for staged readings and Purple Masque plays, and that’s just the half of it. You can fine a full layout of the evening here, but for specific details please click the link(s) below.

Day 3: Wednesday, August 26th, Putting Together the Team
Some coaches will ask back players to get a a feel for how the interact with others. (a.k.a. Callbacks)
Day 4: Thursday, August 27th, Rest and Recovery
Sleep, do homework, take an ice bath, eat some donuts. Do what ever you have to recuperate from the Draft Week festivities.
Day 5: Friday, August 28th, Rosters, Refreshments, and “Re” Grand Opening of the Masque
Our very own NFL (a.k.a. the K-State Theatre Department) along with the Theatre Foundation will be hosting a University-wide ice cream social at the New Purple Masque at 5:30. Enjoy some dairy treats, a tour of our GORGEOUS new facility, and get to know your K-State community as a whole. Wear your K-State Theatre or SEE THEATRE t-shirt!
Day 6: Sunday, August 30th, Picnic Time:
Come to our annual Welcome Back Picnic at Anneberg Park from 1-3 to get to know your fellow recruits, and the whole K-State Theatre family. Seniors are in charge of drinks, juniors are in charge of desserts, and sophomores are in charge of sides.
We will provide you with more details of the upcoming events as the week progresses, but for now GET EXCITED. This week is about to be a whirlwind for everyone involved, but what better way to celebrate the beginning of our year together.
