AUDITION INFO

Set in 2004, American Tet follows the Krombachers, an American military family, whose son is coming home on leave from fighting in the Iraq war. The preparation surrounding the son’s return triggers all of his family members in different ways. Elaine, Danny’s mother, befriends a Vietnamese woman named Nuh, and their friendship teaches Elaine about war, suffering, and most importantly, tet, the Vietnamese word for celebration.

Initial auditions will be during open/cattle call auditions on Tuesday, Aug. 25 in Chapman Theatre. Sides will be provided at callbacks. Reading copies of the script are available in McCain 109.
