“Working” Paint Calls!

By September 5, 2021News

We’re gearing up for the first production of the season, so if you like to paint (or think you might like to learn), here are the initial paint call dates for Working

You don’t need any previous experience in scene painting. All I ask it that you wear appropriate clothes (things you don’t mind getting paint on) and sturdy, closed-toe shoes–tennis shoes are fine. And bring your enthusiasm!

If you haven’t been there yet, the scene shop is located in 216 McCain–if you come up onto the loading dock and through the doors into the hallway, you’ll go through the first set of doors on your right (they also lead backstage into McCain auditorium) and then through the door labeled “scene shop”. Or you can just knock on the big garage door and someone will let you in.

You don’t have to attend the entire call, although it is best if you can be there for at least an hour. If you know for certain that you will be attending a call, I appreciate knowing that in advance, but if you just show up on the day, I won’t turn you away.

This schedule is subject to change based on what pieces I have that are ready for paint and the availability of the venues. I will try to post any changes at least one day in advance.
