If you are available to assist with front-of-house efforts during tomorrow’s Christmas Carol matinee, we need assistance bringing elementary students off of busses and into the space, and again helping schools get organized and back to their busses after the performance.
- Volunteers will meet for 30 minutes at some point before the event for ‘training’ on expectations and assign duties. Noon on Thursday would be perfect.
- Buses will likely start pulling up as early as 12:40-ish, so volunteers need to be in place ready to go by then.
- Volunteers will escort ‘Their School’ off the bus and to their seats in McCain. Volunteers will want to make sure they (a) notate or label which bus ‘belongs’ to which school at this time (I can have signage ready) and (b) talk to the bus drivers so they can be grouped together by school when they come back for pick up.
- At the end of the performance, we’ll want a spotter outside communicating to someone inside which buses have pulled up and are ready for pick up.
- Volunteers will escort ‘Their School’ to the bus, when it has/they have arrived. Relief and high-fives for a successful afternoon ensue.
