The deadline to sign up for the 2013 National Unified Auditions and Interviews is December 17th.  75% of our 41 member institutions have already sent in registration forms,  and we have an unprecedented number of Guest Participants. Recruiters from schools, professional theatres and summer companies will also be looking for Actors, Designers, Technologists, Directors, State Managers and Theatre Managers. CLICK HERE to see the current list of registered schools and companies.

Leaving URTA out of your plans to pursue professional graduate training is a strategic mistake.

  • Excellent training isn’t available at just a few schools.  It is an investment made by diverse programs, each offering a variety of approaches and identities: large and small, urban and rural, interdisciplinary training, conservatory training, international training, and more.
  • Accomplished faculty train accomplished, award-winning alumni – ask Ty Burrell, Norbet Leo Butz, Judith Ivey and other actors, directors and designers from URTA programs.
  • Great graduate training does not have to mean great debt.  URTA schools utilize assistantships, scholarships and tuition waivers to lower the financial burden to students.
  • There are schools, and then there is the school that is right for a particular candidate – the inspiring teachers, the matching interests, the right feel.  To find this match, students need to explore a wide range of schools and programs.  Research + Information = Good Choices and Plenty of Career Potential.

URTA continues to accept applications to the 2013 National Unified Auditions and Interviews in New York, Chicago and San Francisco.
