The Ohio Light Opera is searching for Scenic Carpenters for its 2018 summer festival season. Located in Wooster, Ohio, the Ohio Light Opera is America’s premier lyric theatre company, producing 7 musicals and light operas over a 12 week repertory season. Carpenter: Works in the Scene Shop under the Master Carpenter and Shop Foreman. Builds scenic projects as assigned. Has strong working knowledge of scenic carpentry and construction techniques. Has experience working in a scene shop environment. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs unassisted and work in a physically demanding environment, comfort climbing ladders and possibly working in a genie. Must play well with others. Welding steel a plus.
