Take Back Our Lives Rally

By April 18, 2018News

In light of the MeToo, Time’s Up, and other movements having taken shape this past year, FIRE (Feminists Igniting Resistance and Empowerment) will host the second annual Take Back Our Lives March and Rally on Monday April 30th to stand together against sexual violence as we seek to end violence in all its forms. Come out to represent and stand with those whose lives have been threatened by xenophobia, racism, sexism, homophobia, or nativism on our campus and in our community as we march through Manhattan and make a statement of solidarity!

The event will begin with an open mic rally at 6pm in Bosco Plaza and terrace of the KSU Student Union, followed by a march through Aggieville, and concluding with a “block party” back at Bosco Plaza where we will enjoy more open mic time, spoken word, poetry, music and food. All are welcome! A poster making party for the event will take place Tuesday, April 24th at 6pm in 001 Leasure Hall for any interested rallyers or artists. Email Chelsea Turner (chelsea0929@ksu.edu) with questions.
