This summer in Manhattan, K-State Theatre is partnering with Manhattan Parks and Rec to deliver a newly imagined 7-week Summer Theatre Academy for grades K-12. Jennifer Vellenga is serving as the director of the academy and is looking to hire counselors, theatre teachers (in a variety of areas), teacher/crew members, and crew members for May 30-July 20. There is one three week session and one four week session from 8:30am-4:30pm M-F with early care and after care available 7:30-8:30am and 4:30-5:3opm. the second session culminates in a production of the musical, HOW TO EAT LIKE A CHILD, directed by Jennifer Vellenga.
Schedule:
May 30 & 31: 8-5pm Teacher training, including curriculum design sessions
June 3-21: Session 1
June 24-July 19 (July 4 & 5 off): Session 2
July 19 & 20 evening performances of HOW TO EAT LIKE A CHILD
