The Clinton Showboat Theatre is looking to fill two positions created to help embrace its mission of education.

The positions are open to any current student involved in KState Theatre major or non major. Theses positions are completely student interest based and contracts will be crafted around the student’s availability and proposed area of work.

Examples include assistant designers in all areas, assistant education director, actor, assistant choreographer, assistant director, assistant stage manager, administration, front of house, dramaturgy, acting, carpentry, props, electrics, audio engineering, etc.

Compensation:
Housing is provided and a weekly or flat stipend (weekly or flat stipend depends on duration of contract).

Application:
A reference letter from one faculty member and one external source. A resume, and a two paragraph proposal on what your interested in doing for the position. If wanting to act in lieu of the two paragraphs please provide an audition tape of 32 bars of music. Applications will be taken until the end of January and can be emailed to Professor James Davis. Final candidates will be asked to meet Professor Davis in person for a final interview.

About the boat:
The Showboat is on a historic paddlewheel barge ship dry docked in Clinton, IA right next to the Mississippi River. Each summer we produce 4-5 main-stage shows and a tya season.
This season features musicals Young Frankenstein, Cinderella, Spongebob, and Murder for Two.
