The Arts in the Park Crew will set up, run, and tear down sound and lighting systems for Arts in the Park performances at the Larry Norvell Band Shell.
Job Duties
- Provide excellent customer service and possess a service philosophy which reflects the mission of the Parks and Recreation Department.
- Must inspect and maintain all equipment.
- Must maintain a flexible schedule for work calls.
- Must have general knowledge of lighting and sound equipment.
- Must maintain a safe and organized work environment at all times.
- Able to establish and maintain cooperative professional working relationships with others; individually and in a team environment.
- Actively listen to customers and address any concerns or needs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Work performed at indoor and outdoor facilities: Wefald Pavilion; City Park; Larry Norvell Band Shell; Majority of work is performed outside in extreme heat and direct sun which could expose staff to various outside atmospheric conditions; noise level and activity level will be varied. Essential Functions: Stand and walk for extended periods of time, speak, climb stairs, push, pull or lift up to 70 pounds. (Seasonal Part-Time)
Requirements
Must be 18 years or older – Uniforms provided

- Arts in the Park includes weeknight and weekends including times after midnight.
