Study Abroad in England – MAY ’19

By August 23, 2018Study Abroad

MTD has a great study abroad opportunity, “Music and Culture of London,” coming up in May 2019! This is open to all students across the university regardless of major.

One of our music professors, Dr. David Pickering, is organizing this. He is more than happy to meet with each of you to discuss this amazing opportunity and how your students can best experience London’s culture. His email address is dpickeri@ksu.edu.

Please see details regarding the application below.

Application information:
Your students can begin applying by visiting this link: https://ksu.studioabroad.com/?go=PickeringSPSU19
  • The application deadline will be October 1, 2018
  • Students simply click “Apply now” and log in with their KSU ID and password.
  • The application requirements include submission of the program Budget Sheet. Students need to print this off, sign it, and return it to Education Abroad at 304 Fairchild Hall. Students are also welcome to scan and email the signed copy to me (Brent Holliday, bholliday@ksu.edu) directly if that is easiest. Here is the direct link to the respective budget sheets: https://ksu.studioabroad.com/index.cfm?FuseAction=Programs.BudgetSheet&Term=Summer&Program_ID=13106
  • Important: The application also includes an electronic signature document titled Conditions of Participation Form for Faculty Led Program. This form outlines, among other things, the program commitment, withdrawal, and refund policies. After the application deadline, it is important for students to understand that if they commit to the program we will begin making payments on their behalf. If a student decides to withdraw from the program later, they would still be financially responsible for any non-recoverable expenses we have already made on their behalf. Please let me (Brent Holliday, bholliday@ksu.edu) know if you have questions about this or encourage your students to contact me directly if they have any questions about the commitment or withdrawal process.
Timeline for moving forward:
The following is a timeline to help you plan ahead and stay on track with your program.
  • Now until October 1, 2018: Students can apply online. The application requires submission of the program Budget Sheet, as well as completing online signature documents including the Conditions of Participation Form for Faculty Led programs. There is a passport upload requirement as well, but this can be submitted later if students don’t have their passports by the application deadline.
  • October 1, 2018: Program application deadline.
