Sculptor Studio Internship

From Liz Carlson at New York Stage & Film:

Carol Bove is an established contemporary painter, printmaker, and sculptor (https://www.davidzwirner.com/artists/carol-bove) with a rapidly expanding career. Her studio is comprised of 5 to 10 welders, painters and general makers alongside 3 full time administrators. Carol values community and a healthy, creative environment for her work family. We break for an hour lunch every day, fully prepared and free to all employees.

A brief description of the Internship:

The studio needs a full-time temporary assistant to tackle a very important facet of Carol’s process: the supply and management of our brand new Spray Booth. This spray booth allows for Carol’s work to be painted/fully fabricated. As we are in final stages to prep 18 works for a major solo show, these fabrication steps are crucial and time sensitive. The candidate will coordinate with studio artists to ensure this space is fully stocked with painting and fabricating supplies. The candidate will also liaise with administrators to maintain budget and supply other various administrative support. Ideal candidate is organized, ambitious, hungry to learn about the inner workings of contemporary art world, and available at least 3 – 4 days a week. Pay commensurate on experience.
