Media and Communications Career Meet-Up

Students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend the Media and Communications Career Meet-Up on Thursday March 8, 2018. The event will be held 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. in the Berney Family Welcome Center great room – which is located at the south end of the building. Students from all majors are welcome.

This free networking event is intended to bring employers and students together to facilitate connections in the advertising, journalism, and public relations fields. Employers may be offering internship and/or full-time positions. Employers may be seeking students for opportunities to work for an advertising or public relations firm or media outlet, while others may be seeking students for “in-house” opportunities to work on digital media. We invite you to come check out all the possibilities! Students are encouraged to dress in business casual attire and bring their resume, but are also welcome to come from class “as-is.” This is a great opportunity for freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors to learn about the companies in attendance.

Prior to the evening event, Intouch Solutions will be hosting interviews throughout the day for the following positions: Social Media Intern, Creative Intern – Design, Marketing, and Communications, Creative Intern – Design, User Experience – Intern, Creative Intern – Copy, Search & Inbound Marketing Intern. To apply for an interview, students should submit an application for the positions they are interested in. Log into your Handshake account > click “Jobs” > click “On-Campus Interviews.” Use the “Date” filter on the left side of the page to choose “March 8 2018” for the “From” and “To” boxes. Click on the interview schedule to see the attached job. Intouch Solutions will contact student applicants about interview slots.

To see employers that will be attending the event, students should log into Handshake > Events and click on “Media and Communications Career Meet-Up.” Student login for Handshake can be accessed at www.k-state.edu/career-center<http://www.k-state.edu/career-center>.
