Lecture – “Global Shakespeare: Staging Shakespeare in the 21st Century”

Amidst the wealth of events, we have a fortuitous opportunity to welcome a
theatrical specialist from Poland, Aneta Mancewicz, who will be giving a
talk, “Global Shakespeare: Staging Shakespeare in the 21st Century,” on this
coming Monday at 12:30 in ECS 121.

Professor Mancewicz is a widely knowledgeable, and delightful, scholar on
world-wide Shakespeare.  She is currently a Marie Curie Research Fellow at
the Central School of Speech and Drama, the University of London, and she is
an Assistant Professor of English Literature at Kazimierz Wielki University,
Bydgoszcz, Poland, and was recently a Fellow in the Theater Department at
the Graduate Center, City University of New York. She is also the European
Editor for the Global Shakeksepare Video and Performance Archive.
