PLEASE READ ALL OF THIS POST CAREFULLY AND BE AWARE that voting for the Executive KSTO Board positions will end MONDAY, May 3rd at 11:59pm. (TOMORROW!!!) 

Also, Banquet is our opportunity to celebrate our students and department from this past year.  THEREFORE, if you graduated in the Fall 2020 Semester you are still welcome and invited to join us at banquet!

1. Official Banquet Sign-Up/RSVP

Banquet Sign-Up/RSVP Info: *IMPORTANT* Please sign up ONLY if you are 100% planning to attend. Due to a limited number of guests allowed in the ballroom at once, we are only allowed for 50 attendees. Priority to RSVP is set as followed: 1. Students, 2. Faculty/Professors, 3. Additional Guests (Ex. S/O,  Roommate, etc.).

If you are interested in possibly bringing a +1, please fill out the second half of this sheet with their name and contact info. This information is for contact tracing if need be.  Two days prior to Banquet, if slots are still open we will extend invitations to our faculty. One day prior, if enough slots are open for all who would like to bring one additional guest may, then we will send you an email giving you the go to bring them. **PLEASE do not bring your +1 unless we send you an email saying spots are avaliable.**   (We can’t promise that additional guests will be allowed, but we will do our best!)

Voting Info: Voting for the positions of the President, VP, Secretary, and Treasurer of the ’21-22 KSTO Board are officially OPEN NOW until May 3rd at 11:59pm. (TOMORROW!) To vote, please select the name of who you choose for each position.  Voting is anonymous and you may only vote once.  The elected positions will be contacted and notified the day after voting ends.

Student Award Info: Please submit the name of a fellow student who you think best deserves or fits each award by following the link above.  Next week will be the official voting for the following awards. The Awards will be announced and handed out at the ’21 KSTO Banquet on May 7th. Feel free to nominate as many times or people as you’d like! 

What are Student Awards? – Student awards are nominated and voted on AND awarded to YOU, the students! The awards change every year, from trophies, gift cards, and other variations. The awards are also named and based on our lovely faculty! This year we have the following 12 awards up for grabs. . .

The Shannon: Best Quarantine Hair 

The Vellenga: Most positive influence in the department 

The James: Hardest working sound designer

The Kathy: Most Animal Screen Time

The Jay: Most likely to burst into random dance 

The Mackay: The biggest clown

INFO & *THEME* of '21 BANQUET!

The official theme for our ’21 year banquet is. . . .*drumroll please*. . . . MASKQUERADE

The theme Mask-querade means we invite you to bedazzle, fancy up, and match your face mask to your attire.  Feel free to be super creative!

Beside the mask, attire will be open to your comfortability as you may dress up in suits or old prom dresses or in your comfy regular clothes. Banquet has always been sort of our programs “formal,” but feel free to be as FANCY or COMFY as you’d like.  

General Banquet INFO:

WHEN: FRIDAY, MAY 7th @ 7:00-9:00pm!

WHERE: *IN-PERSON* at the top floor Ballroom in the Student Union and online via a zoom link posted here on MTD the day of!

WHAT: Banquet is our  annual KSTO event where the entire department, students, staff, friends, all come together to celebrate this past year over a few hours of fun, awards, scholarships, and the announcement of the 2021-2022 KSTO Board! 

WHO/RSVP:  YOU! Our awesome theatre department!!! See #1 at top of post to RSVP! (You must RSVP before event.)

FOOD/DRINKS: Pre-packaged snacks, water, soda, and more! No full meal or open bar this year due to covid.
