The Kansas City Fringe Festival Announces:

The 4th Annual Unified KC Fringe Auditions!

Are you a Kansas City area performer looking to get involved in new and exciting works created by local, national, and international producers? The 14th annual KC Fringe Festival will take place July 19-July 29, 2018 on 14 stages across the city. With almost 80 producers and nearly 400 shows, KC Fringe is a wonderful way to mix and mingle with some of the finest creatives in our city.

Festival Dates:  July 19-29.  Expect to rehearse based on your director’s requirements before then.

NOTE: Producers will attend on a voluntary basis.  Some may have cast their productions already or choose not to attend.

TIME:

Saturday, April 7

2pm to 7pm (limit 10 spots per hour)

and

Sunday, April 8

2pm to 7pm (limit 10 spots per hour)

Spots will be awarded on a first-come, first served basis.  Please contact Andy Garrison if you reserve a spot then need to cancel.

IF necessary, an additional audition session may be held. No individual sessions for the unified auditions will be held.  Producers will arrange casting or callbacks using their own location and time.

PREPARATION:

You have 5 minutes from the time you enter onstage until you exit, to audition.  You may perform memorized monologue(s), sing, dance, juggle or anything that won’t be a danger to you, the facility or others attending. Nudity prohibited (yes, it’s the Fringe, but let’s keep it within reason!)

NOTE: AUDITIONS WILL BE VIDEOTAPED.  YOUR APPLICATION WILL SERVE AS YOUR RELEASE TO BE RECORDED.


 

KSU students, Sterling Oliver and Brent Weaver, will premiere their new musical stage reading at the festival! They will hold auditions at KSU after break. If interested, please email Sterling at sterlingmoliver@ksu.edu . There will also be an MHK reading in May.
