*IMPORTANT* Volunteer as the KSTO Social Justice Chair!

By March 21, 2021News

Volunteer for the SOCIAL JUSTICE CHAIR for the 20-21 KSTO Board!

KSTO’s number one focus is YOU, the wonderful students of our theatre department!  So the KSTO board does our best to provide opportunities for all of you and are always looking ahead to how we can be open to all students and be proactive in diversity and inclusion.  In short, KSTO aims to be the best organization for you all that we can.  KSTO wants to make sure we are doing everything we can and being as open and supportive as possible to you all in every event, opinion, idea, and problems that may occur.

And so, the current KSTO board has voted to create a new board position,

the SOCIAL JUSTICE CHAIR

A few goals of the KSTO Social Justice Chair would be to. .

1. Actively work towards Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in all things KSTO.

2. Act as a mediator for KSTO on areas of Social Justice.

3. Work with the KSTO Board to develop new ways to encourage, support, and be a voice for our student body.

4. Communicate & educate KSTO on new ways to achieve Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

5. Factor diversity & inclusion into day-to-day KSTO events and student practices.

These goals are just the base for the Social Justice Chair board position.  We encourage those who would like to apply for this position to add on new goals, or other goals they believe will help us aim to create a diverse and inclusive organization.  While new board positions are usually added at the beginning of the year, KSTO believes that the Social Justice Chair is too important to not include immediately.

Therefore, KSTO is currently seeking volunteer applicants for the new Social Justice Chair for the remaining semester on the 2020-21 Kansas State Theatre Organization Board.
