For the first time in its history, McCain 201 is ready for a transformational and health-essential renovation—and you can be part of it.
As the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance continues to grow faster than any other academic unit at K-State, the time has come to invest in the future of our rehearsal spaces. We hope to enhance the room’s acoustics, size, and functionality, making it even better suited for the next generation of Wildcat musicians.

Why Now?
The School of Music, Theatre, and Dance is the fastest-growing department at K-State, with enrollment increasing by more than 50% in the past three years. Today, more students than ever are choosing music and performing in our expanding ensembles. Room 201 remains the primary rehearsal space for many of these groups, but it was never designed for ensembles of this size or number. With sound levels rising during rehearsals, updating the space is essential—not only for musical excellence but for the auditory health and long-term well-being of our students. Now is the time for the K-State music family to come together and invest in a safer, more supportive rehearsal space for the generations ahead.
