We have our 2nd Annual Theatre Student for a Day NEXT THURSDAY APRIL 25th !
We would LOVE to have you help out – even if this means 5 minutes. We have a few signed up, but the more the merrier!
Simply, Theatre Student for a Day is time when high school students (about 45) come and attend a variety of classes. This is not like KSTO Workshop Day. The most disciplined and dedicated high school students were selected by their teachers to come and sit in on classes. These are observations, not workshops – (though we do have one special hands-on session of Theatre Games and two sessions of Stage Combat!)
Basically, I need people to (1) work the table at the beginning of the day (about 30 mins) OR lead theatre tours (all spaces about 30 mins) OR lead students to their class (5 mins) – basically, if you are taking a class on THURS in Theatre, you would let them follow you to class and that’s it. I jsut don’t want them lost. It’s that simple. We will always meet back in the Nichols lobby.
I have some students who have volunteered, but we need more.
So, pick a time (or slot) and let me know so you can be part of this fun, easy event!
8:30-9:00 – Table and Check In (need folks to see who is arriving and give them paperwork!)
Block 1 Lead students to 9:30-10:45 class in Nichols and PM (just let them follow you to class from Nichols lobby to wherever!)
SPACE/STUDIO/SHOPS TOURS 10:45-11:25am (you would take students to all the areas, shops, etc.)
Block 2 Lead students to 11:30-12:45 class in Nichols and PM (just let them follow you from Nichols lobby to wherever)
HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS GO TO KRAMER FOR LUNCH
Block 3 12:45 – Lead students to classes in Nichols and PM
Walk to VARSITY FOR DONUTS! All invited K-State students invited! 2:30ish from Chapman
