FREE Professional Improv Class

On the Spot Improv presents DelFestopia, a two-day improv festival dedicated to celebrating Del Close, “the father of improv,” and a Manhattan, KS native. Join us Friday, April 20th at 8:00 pm for improvised comedy performances from college teams across the Midwest, including the University of Arkansas and the University of Missouri. The Saturday, April 21st performance will take place at 8:00 pm, and will feature On the Spot opening for The Reckoning, a professional improv team from Los Angeles. The Reckoning has performed together at iO theaters in Chicago and LA. The members of this group have performed for The Second City’s main stage performance, Comedy Sports, and have been involved in various writing, directing, and producing jobs. Now here is the exciting part for you – they will be offering an improv workshop open to the public in Room 227 in the Union from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm on Saturday, April 21st. The best part about all of this is…IT’S ALL FREE! Come have a laugh, learn from outstanding professional improvisers, and watch some amazing improv! If you have any questions, feel free to email me at broadbentbrett@ksu.edu!
