**AUDITION FOR K-STATE THEATRE’S **CABARET

“Leave your troubles outside! In here, life is beautiful.”

Kander and Ebb’s iconic musical follows the performers and patrons of Berlin’s Kit Kat Klub during the rise of Nazism in the Weimar Republic. This gritty and provocative musical explores how fascism can take hold—even within a seemingly progressive society.

Auditions are open to all K-State students, including singers, dancers, and actors.

Tuesday, August 25
7:00–10:00 p.m.
Chapman Theatre, Nichols Hall

Directed by Dr. Joelle Arp-Dunham
Musical Direction by Heather McCornack

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS

Second-year and above Theatre majors and minors with a performance emphasis should prepare:

  • One memorized, one-minute modern dramatic monologue
  • Up to one minute of a song that showcases your voice

A piano accompanist will be provided, but a recorded track is also acceptable. Please bring a clearly marked, easily readable copy of your music or have your device ready to connect to our speaker.

Monologues will be provided for first-year students and students who are not Theatre majors or minors.
