CALLBACKS: Wednesday, November 13th 6:00 – 8:00pm
Auditions will be held Tuesday November 12th in Chapman Theatre, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Any K-State student is welcome to audition.
For auditions, starting at 6:00 pm we will gather to talk about the show’s direction and hand out sides. You will present these sides in groups you choose or in groups chosen for you. Links for these sides will be provided. You WILL be asked to read more than once. At some point you will be dismissed, meaning you’re welcome to leave or you may stay and help read for the others.
Callbacks will be held the following night. November 13th. Same time and place! For callbacks bring something you feel comfortable moving in. There will be a movement call. There will also be a side given to you to work on in groups. Don’t worry, we will provide you the side.
Here is a character breakdown for you!
Genevra Bradley – Mother to Mac. Longs to be the best mother ever.
Joshua Bradley – Mac’s dad. Enjoys the idea of being a great dad, but has a drinking problem.
Ross – Recurring expert father. Might have a thing for Genevra
Lynzie – Recurring expert mother. Enemy to Genevra
Denis – Co-worker and albatross of Genevra.
Ensemble roles
Mrs. Heath – Preschool teacher. ALL about freedom.
Cate – Super mom. Another follower.
Mr. Scott – Business man on a tight schedule.
Ms. Labradour – Mr.Scott’s assistant… a glorified time keeper.
Airline Steward – A man passionate about safety.
Mrs. Menteith – Speech specialist
Coach Angus – A Physical fitness specialist
Miss Caithness – Thespian specialist
Mrs. Malcolm – Mac’s teacher at Bright Ideas
Two Moms – Fellow Bright Ideas moms.
MS. Lennox – Bright Ideas chief administrative executive.
Bix – A beaver party entertainer.
