Blue Lakes Fine Arts Camp Hiring

By May 3, 2024News

Back in 1966, Blue Lake was founded on the principle of supporting arts educators and programs through summer enrichment for their students. Our campers benefit from a motivating and nurturing environment where they can focus on their art, away from daily distractions. We provide a quality, intensive and fun experience that sends kids back to school motivated and ready to lead in their programs. At Blue Lake, we’ve been providing those opportunities to young musicians, artists, dancers, writers, and actors for 57 years!

Do you work with young musicians, actors, dancers, writers, or artists?
We are enrolling campers every day, but we have remaining openings in all sessions and programs. With 11 majors, 30 minors, 4 sessions, and many great options for students from beginning and advanced, there’s something for everyone. A great way to share Blue Lake with your students is through our scholarship program:

Students Apply Independently: Direct students to Blue Lake Scholarships where they can apply independently. Merit, Financial Need, and All-State Honors scholarships remain available!

Nominate a Student: You may also nominate a student for an Arts Educator Award valued at $425 toward Blue Lake’s camp tuition for all arts areas and instruments. Visit Arts Educator Award Nomination to complete the application. Note that these introductory scholarships are only available to new-to-Blue Lake students who are not currently enrolled.

Do you work with college students currently seeking summer employment?

Blue Lake employs more than 200 undergraduate and graduate students to serve on our counseling staff. Staff members’ primary responsibilities focus on providing care and supervision for our campers. As a portion of their assignments, they work as class assistants or perform in a wide range of ensembles (including Festival Band and Orchestra). Those who are more advanced in their studies may also qualify to teach certain minors or sectional/technique classes at Camp Bernstein (Blue Lake’s junior camp). What a great way to gain valuable experience for a future in arts education or performance! Candidates can obtain more information by visiting Staff Jobs and can apply here: Staff Application.

Join our Faculty!
