Synopsis:
“The Mascot,” looks at the life of Henry, a young man struggling with the emotions involved in the loss of his father. To cope with the grief he refuses to accept, he reverts to an odd ritualistic OCD: wearing the mascot costume of his and his father’s alma mater. Joy, his girlfriend of over two years, has just discovered his bizarre obsession and needless to say, she is a little overwhelmed. What will come of these relationships between man and woman, and father and son?
Character BIOS:
[HENRY] [GENDER: MALE] [AGE: 27-31]:Young man struggling with the emotions of losing his father. Copes by dressing as a mascot routinely. Dating Joy. He works at a cubicle office with coworker, Damien.
[JOY] [GENDER: FEMALE] [AGE: 26-30]:Henry’s girlfriend. Recently discovers Henry’s obsession. Understanding, but feels as if she was lied to. Henry’s rock.
[DAMIAN] [GENDER: MALE] [AGE: 29-33]:Henry’s coworker. Aspiring community theatre enthusiast. Like that annoying Uncle you don’t want coming to the Christmas party.
