Access to Nichols/McCain/Fairchild

By March 19, 2020News

McCain, Nichols, and Fairchild exterior doors will be unlocked from 8am-5pm from March 19-30. You may enter the buildings only under the following conditions:

1.       If you live on campus, you must come on the same day as your appointment to move out of your dormitory, so that you are only on campus once.

2.       You can only come to campus once, so plan to get all of your belongings. You will not be allowed access to come back a second time during this period nor will you be allowed back on campus after March 30.

3.       If you need to get anything else on campus (i.e., art supplies from Willard or anything in Architecture Planning and Design), you must do everything on the same day.

4.       When you enter a building, you are to go directly to your locker and remove your belongings and personal/School instruments. You are not to go to any other room in the building unless you have a personal item in that room or have prior permission to borrow an instrument from that room. If you need access to a room within the building, please contact a faculty member to grant you permission at least one day before your visit to campus.

5.       You should remain in the building no longer than 20 minutes. Do not enter any practice room and do not touch any piano.

6.       While on campus, you must follow social distancing guidelines.

7.       If you arrive on campus during the time period above and McCain, Nichols, or Fairchild is locked, please contact KSU Police to be let in.

Do not come to campus if you are sick, have a chronic health condition that puts you at greater risk of the effects of COVID-19, or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19. For those students, we will make arrangements for you to retrieve belongings when campus is again open to the public.

Thank you for adhering to these procedures and please continue to follow health guidelines as you receive them.
