Winter Dance Auditions Saturday!

Come be a part of K-State Dance’s fall production “Rhythm”
Auditions will be held Saturday August 27th, 2022 at 8:30 am. in Nichols Hall Studio 008. Doors open at 8:00 am.
Winter Dance Concert ’22 will run in Mark A. Chapman Theatre in Nichols Hall November 10-12, 2022.

The Winter Dance Concert ’22 audition will be held Saturday, August 27th. We will be casting for contemporary, jazz, modern, and tap for choreographic works by K-State Dance faculty, students, alumni, and special guest artist Bubba Carr. (See bio below). This audition is open to all K-State students. No experience necessary.

Doors will open by 8:00 am. The audition will begin no later than 8:30 am. Solos are NOT required.

Guest Artist:
Bubba Carr is best known as a choreographer and dancer. He enjoyed a long and successful commercial career in Los Angeles, California lasting 20 years. He moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 2004 to be closer to family and continue his career in entertainment to the present, choreographing film, television, and theatre.

Bubba Carr’s choreographic credits include films “Godmothered”, “Lady and the Tramp”, “Passengers”, “Goosebumps”, “Hunger Games: Catching Fire”, “The Internship”, “Bolden”, TV shows “The Resident”, “The Big Door Prize”, “Ozark”, “The Originals”, “Halt and Catch Fire”, “The Detour”, “Drop Dead Diva”. Stage“Cabaret”, “Grease”, “Carousel”, “Evita”, “Oklahoma”, “Miss Saigon”, “Hair”, “Peter Pan”, “Little Mermaid”, “Titanic”, “The Seagull”, “Aida”, “Oliver”, “Jekyll & Hyde”.

Bubba has danced and choreographed for Cher on four world tours, music videos and TV specials, has toured with Jane’s Addiction and Porno for Pyros with lead man Perry Farrell multiple times, as well as Zac Brown Band. Currently Bubba manages Xcel Studios in Atlanta, GA, the premier studio for professional dancers in the south east.
