The Broadcast Education Association (BEA) is partnering with The backStory's Back Room to bring virtual international experiences to students this fall
The backStorygroup’s Back Room is a joint project between the BEA and the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance (JAMD), connecting select American film students with highly trained and super-talented Masters in Composition students at JAMD, who will work together to create scores for student produced films.
As an added bonus, there will be occasional special guests from the film and film music industry visiting The Back Room for discussions with participants.
Selected film students and the student composers from JAMD will meet virtually and share their work before pairing up.
The application is quick but spaces are limited, so don’t wait to apply!
YOU WILL NEED:
- A link to some work that you’re proud of
- A short (no more than a page, max) essay about why you’d like to join this project and what you hope to gain from it
- A short abstract of your capstone film, even if the concept is in a very early stage
