Second Annual Theatre Excursion to Kansas City
Sept. 18-20, 2015
The K-State Theatre Student Development Fund is supporting the 2015 KC Theatre Excursion. Students selected for the trip will be provided transportation to and from Kansas City, hotel accommodations (3-4 students per room), theatre tickets to four different Theatre productions, and one lunch. All other meals and any incidentals will be the responsibility of each student.
Eligibility requirements:
- undergraduate student with at least 75 earned credits (juniors & seniors)
- active in Theatre program (not necessarily a major)
- willing to write a donor “thank you” letter after the trip

Students will be chosen based on eligibility and the content and clarity of the email application. Theatre majors are given first priority, but non-majors who are active in Theatre will also be considered. Students must act responsibly and be strong ambassadors for Kansas State University.
Weekend Itinerary:
Fri, Sept. 18
3:15pm Depart campus in K-State Vans (students who need to miss class will get a letter to give professors)
Check in to Embassy Suites at The Plaza; dinner
7:30pm At Home at the Zoo by Edward Albee, Kansas City Actors Theatre, H&R Block City Stage at Union Station; post-show talkback
Sat, Sept. 19
2:00pm Sunday in the Park with George by Stephen Sondheim, KC Repertory Theatre, Atkins Auditorium at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art
Lunch
8:00pm The Oldest Boy by Sarah Ruhl at the Unicorn Theatre
Sun, Sept. 20
11:45am Lunch at New Theatre Restaurant (provided)
1:30pm The Addams Family (Starring JERRY JAY CRANFORD!) at New Theatre
(There will be an additional van and extra tickets to The Addams Family for students wanting to visit KC on Sunday only. More info soon)
7pm arrive back on campus
The K-State Theatre Student Development Fund was established by an anonymous donor to be used for professional development for students in the last three semesters of their undergraduate degree experience. This fund supports travel related to research & creative activity (including but not limited to theatre tickets, flights, lodging and other travel expenses). These funds will be used without restriction to race, gender, national origin, religion, age, sexual orientation or disability.
