Spring Dance Auditions

SpringDance 2016 Auditions will be held December 12th, 2015 and are open to all K-State students.  Students that are cast will perform in SpringDance 2016 in McCain Auditorium April 1-2, 2016.

Doors open at 9:00 in Nichols Hall Studio 008.  Students will need to complete the audition information sheets, which will be available at the Dance website: http://www.k-state.edu/dance/performing/auditions/  Students should bring a copy of their weekly schedule as casting is done, in part, based on availability for weekly rehearsals.

Auditions may be held for ballet, jazz, modern, movement theatre, tap, and world dance styles.  Students should bring all of their dance shoes.  Dancers in groups will learn several combinations in the different styles.  Dancers don’t need to prepare solos.

Rehearsal schedules are set at casting.  Students rehearse 2 to 4 hours per week per dance, depending on the choreographer’s needs.  Dancers may be cast in 1 – 3 dances.
