March 13th in the Union Ballroom, the American Ethnic Studies Student Association (AESSA) will be hosting a queer people of color event called “Queer and Trans Resistance through Art and Activism”. It will feature 5 queer/trans artists of color that will perform their resistance through spoken word, hip hop, comedy, etc. Following the performances will be a Q and A between students and all of the artists. We hope that the event will be a way for all of us to celebrate diversity in solidarity, in a time when diversity seems to be being valued less and less.
