Participate in Little Apple Pride Parade

Every year K-State’s Sexuality and Gender Alliance (formerly LGBT and Allies) has the responsibility of organizing the Little Apple Pride celebration. In planning this year’s pride celebration we recognize that the progress that has been made towards LGBT+ equality here in Manhattan couldn’t have been achieved without our K-State family’s support and we hope that many of our fellow student organizations will join us in celebrating these achievements by participating in the 2017 Little Apple Pride parade and festival. This will be a unique opportunity to showcase your organization while joining with the community in celebrating the 8th annual pride celebration. The theme of the parade and festival is “Moving Forward”. All parade entries are encouraged to decorate in a manner that celebrates LGBT+ history and the strides being made to move LGBT+ rights into the 21st century. Pride is Saturday, April 22nd, 2017. The parade will start at 10:30 am with the festival to follow in Manhattan City Park band shell from Noon to 6 pm.

Please read Parade entry guidelines carefully!

ONLY pre-registered Parade Entries will be permitted in the Parade!

If you do not pre-register and show up the morning of the Parade, you will be turned away.

You must fill out and return the application to participate in the parade. There are two options to submit your parade application:

If you have any other questions, feel free to contact myself at henelson@ksu.edu or the Little Apple Pride Committee who’s email is listed above. Thank you for taking the time to read my message and consider this opportunity. I hope to see you and your student organization on April 22nd for the 2017 Little Apple Pride celebration!

Sincerely,
