Music Theatre of Wichita Auditions 2013

Below is the link to MTW’s summer auditions application and their main website that has further information about the audition process and the experience at MTW. Auditions are in Wichita March 8-10; they often ask to hear more than one song from those who audition, be prepared to sing different types of songs.

Please be prepared to sing two selections in styles appropriate to the shows. You may sing songs actually from the shows, or other songs. Your choice. You may also bring your own accompanist, although we will provide an excellent one. Your sheet music should be in the appropriate key. No a capella singing or taped music, please.

All performers will be required to take a small movement audition for coordination, and dancers will be asked to demonstrate considerable proficiency in ballet, tap and jazz. Dance combinations will be taught by a choreographer, and dance auditions will be in groups. Acrobatic tricks are also very welcome, and please let us know if you play a musical instrument.
