The KSU Faculty Brass Quintet will present its spring recital on Wednesday, February 11 at 7:30 p.m. in All Faiths Chapel.
Works to be performed are J. S. Bach’s “Contrapunctus No. 9” from “The Art of the Fugue,” “”Personality Test” (2020) by Zoe Cutler, “The Maid of the Mist” by Herbert L. Clarke (cornet soloist with Sousa’s Band), “The Paradise Waltz” by John Esputa (Sousa’s teacher), and “Four Moods” (2025) by Kansas City-based Yunfei Li.
Performers on this concert are KSU faculty members Jacqueline Fassler-Kerstetter (horn), Daniel Hinman (trombone), Steve Maxwell (tuba), and Craig B. Parker (trumpet), and graduate student Larry Dean (trumpet). This will be Parker’s last concert with the quintet before his retirement at the end of this semester.
