Danielle Moné Truitt’s One Woman Show “3

 

February 10, 2012 –  Danielle Truitt will perform in the one-woman show, “3,” the first installment in the Nappy Hair and Other Black Girl Blues Series during K-State’s Black History Month celebration.  On Friday, February 10th at 7:00PM in the K-State Student Union Truitt will be performing.

Coming all the way from Los Angeles, California is Danielle Truitt. You may be asking yourself, who is Danielle Truitt. Danielle Moné Truitt is the actress who gave Disney’s Princess Tiana her persona and essence. As the video reference for Tiana she acted out the body movements and facial expressions for Disney’s first African-American Princess in the Academy nominated animation, The Princess And The Frog. She was also the voice of Georgia in the film.

On Friday February 10th, at 7:00pm in the K-State Student Union Forum Hall, Truitt will perform in the one-woman show, “3,” the first installment in the Nappy Hair and Other Black Girl Blues Series. Inspired by personal experiences, “3″ takes a look at the lives of three women connected by friendship and history, while delving into the social and cultural issues rooted in misconceptions of race and beauty. Conceived and performed by Danielle Moné Truitt and written by Anthony D’Juan, “3″ captures the breakdown, growth and resurgence of female esteem in a powerfully dramatic performance.

Danielle is a talented actress, singer, director, dancer, business owner, mother, wife, and first lady, and she isn’t even 31 years old yet.Don’t miss this powerful performance and a chance to meet this rising star.
