K-State Theatre is hiring a part time student employee in the Marketing Office beginning in the spring semester 2019. The ideal candidate will be an excellent writer and communicator with an emphasis in Social Media marketing. Hours are flexible.

Job Responsibilities:
- Social Media Creation/Posts

- Create posts and monitor responses on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat using a singular departmental voice
- Create Facebook event pages and live events for Theatre productions
- Monitor Snapchat/Instagram takeover by students in productions
- Communicate with artists and technicians connected to the theatre season, collecting quotes and insight on the process
- Collect research on each production (history, notable past productions, audience “need to knows”)
- Serve as the primary liaison to student teams working on second stage productions, supporting their marketing vision
- Collaborate with student Graphic Designer on design needs for social media
- Create and edit promotional videos or communicate with video artists
- Lobby Displays/Opening Nights

- Communicate with stage managers and photographers to schedule rehearsal promotional photos
- Schedule actor headshot sessions each semester and communicate with professional photographer
- Collaborate with student Graphic Designer on displays
- Order and pick up opening night cakes/serve cake, if needed
- Facilitate opening night celebrations
- Box Office Support
- Fill ticket sales orders by phone and in-person
- Process complimentary ticket orders
- Additional departmental and MTD duties as requested
