By April 10, 2014October 4th, 2014News

Apply for K-State Libraries’ Kirmser Undergraduate Research Award. Any undergraduate who conducted library research for a K-State course project completed between July 1, 2013 and April 25, 2014 is eligible to apply. Applications consist of a form, an essay describing the library research processes undertaken for the project, the project itself, and a bibliography of sources consulted for the project. In addition, applicants must solicit a letter of support from the instructor of the course for which the project was completed. That letter should be sent from the instructor to the award committee at libaward@ksu.edu. The application deadline is April 25, 2014.

Application materials will be scored based on critical thinking skills, evidence of having gained a greater understanding of library research processes, creativity, organization, appropriateness of scope, quality of presentation, and appropriateness of attributions.

For the application form and complete guidelines, please direct undergraduates to the Kirmser Undergraduate Research Award’s website: https://www.lib.k-state.edu/kirmser-undergraduate-research-award.
