The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical. Hair is a product of the hippie counterculture and sexual revolution of the 1960s. It is a time of harmony and understanding and exploring new ways of experiencing reality. Skin colors are insignificant. The spirit of communal living finds its expressions in yearnings, affection, common needs, awareness, and a desire to partake.
