Tuesday, August 23, 6:00-11:00, OPEN CALL Audition. Chapman Theatre in Nichols Hall. SIGN UP HERE. Required for ANYONE being considered for The Rocky Horror Show or Bug. Undergrads focused on Acting/Directing are REQUIRED to attend the open call. All Acting faculty will be in attendance, in addition to the show directors. paperwork must be completed in advance, BRING YOUR CLASS SCHEDULE. Audition Form 2016
Please prepare 16 bars of a pop, rock tune or a show tune in the pop/rock style and a one-to-two minute contemporary monologue. Accompanist provided, bring sheet music. If you are only auditioning for Bug, you do not need to sing. Non-majors: if you don’t have a monologue, there will be material available for you to read for the panel. ALL CALLBACKS ARE DRAWN FROM THIS AUDITION. EVERYONE WILL DANCE. Dress appropriately. Men should be familiar with the song “Sweet Transvestite.” Women should be familiar with the Columbia section of the song “Floor Show/Rose Tint My World.” Broadway revival recording is the best guideline for style and the script is very, very close to the movie.
