The fall General/Unified Audition (Open Call) on Tuesday night, Aug. 27, 2019 is Mandatory for Theatre Majors with an Acting/Directing emphasis and anyone interested in performing in the fall 2019. Design/tech/management students and minors are not required to audition.
We are casting the musical version of A CHRISTMAS CAROL directed by Jerry Jay Cranford, STOP KISS by Diana Son, directed by Teva Spencer, and a stage reading of GLORIA by: Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, directed by: Ian Boyd-Duncan.
TAKING STEPS by Alan Ayckourn, directed by Jennifer Vellenga and some roles in A CHRISTMAS CAROL were cast in May.
Tuesday, August 27 from 7-10pm General Audition, Chapman Theatre in Nichols Hall.
Please prepare one contemporary monologue, one-to-two minutes in length. Non-majors: if you don’t have a monologue, there will be material available for you to read for the audition panel. Some walk-ins available, but we prefer to have you

Most acting faculty will be in attendance, in addition to the show directors. Paperwork must be completed in advance, BRING YOUR CLASS SCHEDULE. CALLBACKS WILL BE SELECTED FROM THIS AUDITION and will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 28 as needed.
