Looking for summer work? How about summer theatre work where you have the chance to be paid??? If so, consider auditioning for this paid gig! Dr. Pete Rydberg (see letter below) is a friend of Shannon’s from grad school. Also, don’t forget about these listings! Even the links ‘marked out’ were working last week:

Greetings from Emporia State University,
My name is Pete Rydberg, recently installed as Director of Theatre at Emporia State University. We have our paid summer theatre opportunities for college students again this summer. We are producing one show on a five week schedule (late May-late June), and have increased the historic stipend significantly to make the 5-week contract competitive with, say, working at a big-box store.
Auditions for Emporia State University’s Summer Theatre Musical No Way to Treat a Lady by Douglas Cohen will take place Friday, March 12th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Saturday, March 13th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the Friesen Studio located in Roosevelt Hall.
Please follow this link to sign up for a 5 (five) minute time slot: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1qmyAwy7a51trK3yz5rJb3A8yQXSDrqFJ0iF9SMeepJY/edit?usp=sharing
Auditionees need not prepare a monologue, simply prepare up to 32 bars of music and bring a marked copy for the accompanist. Those coming from out of town are encouraged to audition on Saturday morning, with the hope of then being called back for a 1 pm callback Saturday afternoon.
Any of your students who choose to come to auditions will receive an er with directions on how to get to Roosevelt Hall, as well as a list of Emporia restaurants for lunch. If you have any questions, please contact me at prydberg@emporia.edu for more information. Cheers!
Pete Rydberg, Ph.D
Director of Theatre, Associate Professor
