Interested in getting your acting seen? Want to get into film? Want some screen time for your reel or portfolio? Wildcat Watch is preparing for their first short film for a new monthly online series called Wildcat Cuts, and want to highlight K-State theater and K-State students. It will loosely be a 2-3 day commitment, depending on how involved you want to be with creativity. Friday, September 15th, we will be meeting and writing the script based on 3 criteria voted on by our viewers on social media. Participation in script writing is optional. On Saturday, September 16th, we will distribute scripts, cast, and begin shooting depending on the script made that Friday and crew availability. Sunday, September 17th will be the last day of shooting, and the short film will be edited and posted by Wildcat Watch online by September 22. If you are interested in getting involved, please email Safiya Woodard at safiya@ksu.edu by September 10th and include your availability for September 15-17. It will not be an all day commitment, however the times will be decided that Friday based on the availability those involved. We do hope to continue the series through the rest of the year, so if those dates do not work for you but you still are interested, feel free to email Safiya and watch for future dates here as well as on Wildcat Watch’s website (http://www.k-state.edu/wildcatwatch/) under events.
