Please share with your professors and students in other departments. “Don’t blame the mirror if your face is crooked” – Russian folk saying

The Government Inspector is an hysterically funny political satire and comedy of errors. Nikolai Gogol’s original 1836 script was a biting commentary on corruption in Imperialist Russia.  David Mackay’s new adaption, created for this K-State Theatre production, pokes fun at the current American political system.  Mackay has also layered in “a soft feud between the older generation and the younger one.” The Government Inspector runs Thursday, May 2nd, Friday May 3rd, and Saturday May 4th at 7:30pm.  There is a 2:30 pm Matinee performance on Sunday, May 5th.   All of the performances are in the Mark A. Chapman Theatre in Nichols Hall.    Visit ksu.universitytickets.com to purchase tickets.
