Save the Date! Auditions for all spring semester shows are scheduled for the evenings of Nov. 12 & 13, 2018 (including the opera production, Pirates of Penzance).
Monday, November 12, 3pm-6:30pm and 8-10:30 pm
3-6:30pm: The Pirates of Penzance (Opera) by Gilbert and Sullivan, directed by Jerry Jay Cranford (Feb. 28-Mar. 3, 2019; McCain)
Auditions will be held in Nichols Hall, Chapman Theatre on Monday November 12 from 3:00-5:30pm (callbacks from 5:30-6:30, if needed). Prepare 32 bars of song either from the show or in the style of the show (light operetta, classic Broadway). A sign-up sheet will be available soon.
8-10:30 pm: The Government Inspector Adapted from Nikolai Gogol by David Mackay, directed by David Mackay (Apr. 25-May 4, 2019; Chapman Theatre)
8:00 – 9:00pm Audition: Monologue or Short scene from play. (PREPARE ONE ONLY!) If you choose to prepare a scene, please choose a scene partner to audition with for the role of the Governor the Postmaster. PLEASE NO RUSSIAN ACCENTS.
9:00 – 10:30pm Callbacks in pairs with audition sides *

Tuesday, November 13, 6-10 pm
6-8pm: Stage Reading by Ebony Theatre, Title TBA, directed by Jennifer Vellenga (Feb. 1-2, 2019; Purple Masque)
8-10pm: 21st Century Carnival A devised play, led by Ashley Blair (Feb. 21-24, 2019; Purple Masque)
Please note, the cast of 21st Century Carnival will need to arrive for rehearsals BEFORE classes start, the week of January 14, 2019 and the cast is not eligible to attend KCACTF in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
