Hi talented people!
It’s the most wonderful time of the year…SHOWCASE TIME! Our first showcase will be held in the Purple Masque at 10:30 pm on Wednesday, September 6th.
If you have no clue what I’m talking about, have no fear! Showcase is a place for you to perform a piece of your choice. If you have a bit of stand-up you want to try out or a dance routine you want to share, this is the place for you to do it! Songs, dances, scenes, monologues, slam poetry, stand-up comedy, duets/trios, etc. are all fair game. This is a safe space to perform so don’t feel like everything has to be perfect! We just want to see your beautiful faces doing something you’re passionate about. However, PLEASE limit your performances to about 3 minutes. We love and support you all, but we still need sleep, so please be respectful with time.
After showcase, we will have Midnight Madness. This is an opportunity for anyone with a short script to get it performed anonymously. If you decide to bring a script, make sure to bring enough copies for the amount of actors needed for the piece. Actors will put their names into a hat, they will be randomly drawn for each script, and they will perform their hearts out.
If you would like to perform at Showcase, please comment below with your name and what you will be performing by Tuesday night (Sept. 5th). I’ll take the first 10 or so entries.
