The School of Music, Theatre, and Dance purchased new Boston uprights for Nichols classroom 007 and 026 WITH COVERS! The covers for both uprights should be on the pianos whenever they are not in use.
Both instruments have heavy duty rollers on them so they should be very easy to move from one room to another.
IMPORTANT: a minimum of two people should move the instruments. The rule is to move a piano slowly and carefully. If one moves them too fast or tries to “strong arm” them with too much force, the pianos could fall off of the roller system which could lead to a disastrous tip over. Slowly, carefully, and aware of corners and walls is the way to move the pianos without incident.
These two fantastic uprights should last for many years. ENJOY!
