Musical Theatre Workshop

There is still room to register for Musical Theatre Workshop this semester. Heather
McCornack is teaching the course this fall. You can register for zero or one credit.
There are auditions on Tuesday, Sept. 1st, in Kirmser (McCain 204) from 3:30-5:20.
There is an audition sign-up outside Dr. Tay’s office (McCain 231). You may sing any
musical theatre piece (under 2 minutes). An accompanist will be provided or you may
use a track. The audition is an opportunity to hear you sing and to help place you in a
scene. Everyone who is registered for the class will perform.
Required time:
Movement Mondays, 3:30-5:20 in Nichols 008 – yoga or another kind of somatic
movement practice. This is required in order to participate in the class.
Rehearsals will be scheduled in the 3:30-5:20 daily blocks. You will rehearse with
Heather and your scene partners one to two hours per week.
There are two performances. The first is Oct. 18th at 2:00. The second is Friday, Dec. 4th at 7:00.
