Have you ever imagined directing your own production as part of the K-State Theatre season?
The K-State Theatre Directing Mentorship Program gives student directors the opportunity to take a play from its earliest ideas through rehearsal and performance, with ongoing guidance from a faculty mentor.
Along the way, you will develop your artistic vision, strengthen your leadership skills, and collaborate with actors, designers, technicians, and other members of the production team. It is a chance to take creative ownership, explore the kind of theatre you want to make, and gain practical experience directing a fully supported production.
There are coursework and experience requirements, but you do not need to have everything figured out before expressing interest. If directing is something you might want to pursue during your time at K-State, now is a good time to begin the conversation.
