Dr. John Kilgore, Assistant Professor of Trumpet, will perform at the WindWorks Music Festival in Iceland on August 8. As a founding member of the brass trio Sapphire Brass, he will present the world premiere of a work by Elín Gunnlaugsdóttir, international premieres of works by Gina Gillie and James Naigus, and a composition by Lauren Bernofsky.
The concert also features the premiere of an original MIDI arrangement of Naigus’s Southern Signs by Kansas State University music education and composition student Brett Wyckoff. The performance will take place at Safnahúsið á Húsavík (Húsavík Museum).
