K-State Theatre Students Awarded Mark Twain Prize and Eugene O’Neill Fellowship

Two K-State students were recently awarded National Prizes for their work in Theatre:

Emmet Spaw

Emmett Spaw (KSU Theatre Major) received a Mark Twain Prize for Comic Playwriting Distinguished Achievement Award for his play The Well-Lit Shadow. Emmett’s play was one of four plays considered for this national award.

Dominic Moore

Dominic Moore (KSU Theatre Major) was the Region 5 representative from Institute for Theatre Journalism and Advocacy and was one of ten finalists selected from around the country for the Eugene O’Neill Center National Critics Institute Fellow.

The American College Theater Festival (ACTF) is a national theater program involving 18,000 students annually from colleges and universities across the country.
