THEATRE MAJORS ONLY: HAMILTON IN KC
We have 14 free tickets for theatre majors to attend Hamilton at the Kansas City Music Hall on
Saturday, February 28.
These tickets are being generously provided by Thomas Kail, director of the original Broadway production of Hamilton. This opportunity reflects Thomas’s ongoing interest in our theatre program and his commitment to honoring the legacy of K-State alum Nathan Jackson. To learn more about Nathan Jackson, please see this: https://www.nytimes.com/2023/09/03/theater/nathan-louis-jackson-dead.html?unlocked_article_code=1.FFA.LzI2.fFGd5Pn7Hk0n&smid=url-share
This is a great chance to see the national tour—especially for students who have not yet seen Hamilton or have not participated in a theatre trip to NYC (preference will be given accordingly).
Transportation will be provided from campus to Kansas City and back to campus.
Eligibility: K-State Theatre majors at the undergraduate level
****What to submit: Please compose 1-2 paragraphs explaining how this trip and attendance to the production can (a) further your education as a Theatre major, (b) benefit your development as a professional in education or the performing arts, and (c) honor Nathan Jackson’s legacy. Please be specific.****
